SpeedCam Visario... a new generation high-speed digital video system.  Visario represents a major advancement in high-speed imaging technology.  Its mega-pixel CMOS sensor produces superior monochrome and color resolution.  Full 1536 x 1024 resolution at speed from 50 to 1,000 frames-per-second..

The SpeedCam Visario is a 5th generation system and utilizes the latest digital technology.    It's the world's fastest CMOS image sensor, and its not available in other high-speed video products.

Worldwide users in automotive, aerospace, military, airborne and product testing have responded with their needs and, this information formed the basis for Visario's performance specification.  The design goal was to develop an electronic imaging system to replace 16mm high-speed film cameras.

System Topology

FIELD ENVIRONMENT
Ruggedized ATX Portable PC Workstation Shown with 20 camera configuration.

Laboratory Environment
The Windows 2000® laboratory PC is similar to the field unit but this workstation is packaged in a ruggedized tower configuration.  It's powerful CPU is a 1.2GHz Athlon with high performance storage.  It's optimized for the built in VISARIO  camera controller.  A SXGA high-resolution 19" monitor is included with Microsoft keyboard and optical mouse.

This is a self-contained Window 2000® based PC in a ruggedized chassis designed for field applications.  It includes a built-in and adjustable 15.1" high brightness LCD display.  The case is a heavy duty ABS with aluminum inner shell.  The keyboard is ergonomically designed with a flip-top that folds in front of the display for protection and includes a built-in touch pad.

LINK MODULE
Some applications require the use of a small Link Module interface for support, setup and remote control of Visario cameras.  Typical of these are hazardous conditions such as; automotive safety crash testing, military weapons test ranges, airborne and other field applications.  The Link Module is connected to a PC workstation for loading camera set-up parameters.  There after, the Link  Module is disconnected from the PC workstation for stand-alone operation and control by a remote trigger signal.  In this configuration the trigger signal (DC voltage) is sent to the Link Module by a convenient 2-conductor cable.  This cable length can be several thousand feet to a control center of other remote location.  The maximum cable length between PC and the Link Module is limited to 320 Ft. or a fiber optics transceiver is available for virtually any distance.  The  Link Module is re-connected to the PC following  image capture.  A "Hot Swap" feature is incorporated to assure data integrity during the transfer process from volatile camera memory to the PC workstation for storage.
