VIC offers Super Bright LED array
technology to meet a wide range of user needs for high intensity illumination.
High-speed digital cameras require very high light levels for millisecond and
microsecond shutter speeds. Our +40 years experience in high-speed imaging has
influenced the designs of these new generation LEDs to meet these needs.
Our LEDs are successfully used in automotive crash and sled testing,
military weapons testing, airborne flight testing, R & D laboratory testing,
manufacturing trouble-shooting and other environments.

These arrays accept Super Bright white LEDs
for color cameras and red or green LEDs for mono-chrome cameras. A selection of 3 interchangeable
collimating lenses for each white and green LEDs provide 8°, 21° and 29° full
beam angles to meet multiple applications.
Red LEDs are supplied with 10° beam angle lenses.
The following is an example of Super-Bright white LED light intensity.
Two 3 x 4 white LED arrays with 8° lenses
focused on an area of 6” x 10”
(153mm x 254mm) at a distance of 18 to 24 inches.
The result of this example is a cool intensity level measured at +40,000
foot-candles or 430,400 lux using a lab photometer. By comparison, sun light measured
at 12:00 noon in the summer time with a clear blue sky is approximately 10,000
foot candles.

Specifications: Both Strobe and Flood controllers operate on AC or DC power with constant current LED driver circuits. AC controllers accept: 100-240 volts 50/60Hz power. Hi-g DC powered controllers operate on 28VDC power, except single and 1 x 3 LED models that require 12-volt DC power. Optional Remote input capability is available for both Strobe and Flood Controllers Strobe controllers have 7 selectable rates of 1 to 500 microseconds per flash and 2 flood light modes: Modeling at 25% intensity & maximum at 100% intensity. Flood Controllers provide 4 selectable Intensity levels: 1. Modeling: 25% 2. Medium: 50% 3. High: 75% 4. Maximum: 100% |

Dual Channel LED Arrays
with Ruggedized Controller

The 201500 is a dual channel self-contained Hi-g LED controller. It includes two 12-volt batteries that power a pair of 4 x 6 white or red LED's. A pair of 25-foot (7.65m) power cables connects the controller to the LED arrays. This controller is designed for remote control operation at distances of 500 feet or more. It accepts a TTL active low remote voltage or contact closure to activate both 4 x 6 LED arrays. A buffered output is also provided to trigger additional controllers. This controller is highly ruggedized and ideal for Hi-g sled, field and explosive environments. The remote input is also compatible with wireless interface. The controller’s timer circuit has four
switch positions with 3 On-Time durations: 15, 30 and 45 seconds.
Position 1 allows instant ON-OFF control. The time durations automatically switch off the LED's when the
selected duration times-out. Note that the LED's remain on, even if the
remote control cable is severed or damaged. These durations are also
factory programmable for other time intervals. |
