A recurring problem with virtually all high-speed digital cameras is the exact back-focus distance between the camera's lens-mount and the sensor's image plane. This condition exists because currently, the camera manufacturers are not required to meet specific industry standards. The Micrometer Diascope solves this problem.

The Diascope is an easy to use instrument that attaches to a camera's lens plate. It contains the following elements: 1) a reticule target 2) an LED light source 3) internal optics and 4) a precise optical micrometer with measurement accuracy greater than 0.001" or 0.025mm.

The Diascope currently adapts to: DRS, Redlake, Vision Research (Phantom), Weinberger cameras plus Nikon-F and C-Mounts. PL and other mounts will follow as needed.
